That is just so beautiful. The color is amazing, Ron standing out against all the cool blues, and the Burrow is such a fabulous, fairy-tale building. I love your work!

3rd-Nov-2005 04:13 pm (UTC) - Hermione watches.
Heya again,
This is so touching. Hermione watches over her love as he wades. As always, your technical proficiency shines. Your details are what makes the painting. I really love the little house on the lake, with the mullioned windows and the supporting archings, the tiered pathway to the water, half-hidden by the shrubs; It looks like a german fairy tale house, and the tiny Hermione peeking out is reminiscent of some of Grimm's finest. It's also interesting, that while the roof is covered with what look like cedar shakes, the porch seems to be thatched. Why?
The only other question I could ask is: Why in Ron alone? Alorkin

Regarding the Burrow - I had Tudor designs in mind while I was working on it. And the reason part of it is thatched while other parts are shingled is to suggest an old mis-matched house that has been added to over the yrs. Great to hear that you noticed the subtleties.
As to why Ron is alone - all I can do is recommend you read the fic. ;~)

Oh, my! Your Ron kills me dead!! He's gorgeous. **drools** :)

Ahem, and I also love the background. :) I love the fact that only the characters' skins are warm and the rest is in a cooler palette. It works great.

And Hermione's curls are lovely.
