Via caiusmajor: Originally posted by zeitgeistic at Livejournal, come on.Alright, I am not drunk enough to deal with this, so I'm just going to put out this PSA: Livejournal Scrapbook is going away. Your 10GB of Paid Member space is now 2GB. If you care, there is an explanation in Russian on the Russian news page. There's also a user-submitted translation. + You will no longer have access to your Scrapbook once this goes live. + Your images will redirect, but the URL will be different. + Unable to tell what will happen to any photos you have that put you over the 2GB limit. + Back up your Scrapbook just in case. + If you want your photos transferred over now instead of waiting, let them know here. - Tags:lj

| "Dear friends of the Earth Observatory, As you may know, the U.S. government is facing a shutdown due to the end of funding. As a result, the Earth Observatory site will not be updated for the duration of that shutdown (and may not be available at all) which may begin tomorrow, Saturday April 9. We hope that there will be a quick resolution to this crisis and we thank you for your continued patronage."

| GA State Rep.: There’s No Such Thing as a Rape Victim While most of the comments on his facebook were encouraging (in that they called him out for what he is,) I still can't figure out how he (and the people around him) could think it was a good enough idea to try to make it LAW. He'll be wanting womens' genitals mutilated next! Then hiding them under burkas.
This is really scary shit!
Why are so many men on this planet so scared and hateful of women? And why does it manifest so virulently in Fundamentalist religions?

| Is anyone else as freaked out by this as I am right now? I feel like I'm watching a movie or reading a Sci-Fi novel. WTF is going on?? | |

| Wednesday morning, I was woken at about 5.30am by the Dawn Chorus. I heard the rainbows launch from their nightly roost and fly over our house in one giant, joyous flock. Then, just before they were out of earshot, the flock turned and swung back over the other side of our house. They do this morning and night, and it fills me with so much happy hearing and seeing this! I can't tell you how lucky I feel. :~) ( noisy rainbows vid + art! ) | |

| Buffy knows it's an egg, and that she's supposed to sit on eggs so they turn into babies! But all attempts to get it underneath herself are in vain!
